The Best Tips Available Today For Auto Insurance

Selecting the right auto insurance company or plan can be an exhausting and overwhelming experience. With so many different options to choose from, it’s no wonder that so many people don’t know where to start. This article contains a number of tips on how to find the right auto insurance plan and company for you.

If you are willing to go to great lengths to save money on auto insurance, consider eliminating a car you do not use often. Any car insurance policy will be significantly cheaper for one vehicle than for two. While dropping a car is a fairly large lifestyle adjustment, the insurance savings can make the blow much softer.

When your kids start getting to the age that they want to drive, consider adding them to your own insurance policy. This is often cheaper than having them get their own policy. If you are worried about cost, set up a payment plan with your child so you are sure that you get the money back.

If you can, you should try paying for your car with cash instead of financing or leasing it. You can save a good amount of money because you will not be forced to pay for insurance to cover the cost of the vehicle in case it is damaged in any way.

Here is a thought for choosing car insurance! Know the value of replacement parts for your car, especially if you drive an older vehicle. Import cars will often be prohibitively expensive to fix, meaning that a minor fender-bender can result in the insurance company determining your car to be totaled. If this describes your situation, you don’t need to be paying out for collision insurance, because it won’t help you!

Before purchasing a car, check the insurance rates that come with it. The premium amount varies between different vehicles. This is because some vehicles are more accident prone than others. Also, if is is appropriate try to stay clear of purchasing trucks or SUVs. Insurance rates are much higher on them.

If one can keep a clean driving record then they can notice a difference in what they pay for insurance. Insurance companies like drivers that are not likely to get into accidents so that the company will not have to pay for their damages. Safe drivers can save money on insurance.

  1. take a break, but, give up. all things in time, so they say. sorry about your job. you are not alone. life kind of sucks here too.

  2. ok riding with cracks is never good…but I have been in the same position, when you have to get to work and the bike with the dodgy front is the only option.
what easy going157 says about changing your own tyre is possible…however he has missed a few crucial points…

    1. you mentioned you have a centre stand, so you are not able to get the bike of the ground. You could purchase paddock stands when you have the money, You would require a front and rear to safely balance your pride and joy. From Ebay these would be around $60, expensive now but cheaper than $50 every time you need a tyre change.

    2. Nobody has mentioned breaking the bead on the tyre (the groove on the tyre where the rim sits) this is pushed in by air pressure and even when you let the air out you need to wrestle the wheel to get the bead to break away from the rim.
Also getting the tyre back on the bead afterward requires a compressor. You will know its on the bead again when you get 2 large loud pops (one for each side going back on the bead)

    3. Removing the valve completely will require a Valve Core Remover, this is a small tool, can be purchased again from ebay for $2.

    4. I would pay to watch some one remove a motorcycle tyre with a spoon or screwdriver. You need a strong steel lever, a spoon will bend and a with a screw driver you risk damaging the new tyre and you rims (oh and rim protectors are the only way you will really prevent yourself scratching your rims)
Also unless you have massive over-sized tyre on your GPZ rims you will not be able to simply push you tyre on gracefully with your hands, one side will go on, but the other side will need levered on.

5 (and last point, I promise) there is a spot on your new tyre you should line up with the valve on your rim, this is the balance point for the wheel, this is how those of us who do not have wheel balancers in our homes, balance the wheel, provided the wheel weights are present and undamaged.

All in all $50 for the tyre is prob not a bad deal considering your not going to be doing it every other month. Its shame because over here in the UK tyre change and BALANCE is only £20 ($30) tops The balance weight is only $0.15.
Sorry for the lenghty response just didnt want you changing the wheel and getting stuck half way or worse damaging/dropping the bike :-)
